Why Should I Promote The Challenge?

I usually share every few months why I promote the Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge and why I share this with people.  I think if people have someone who is completely transparent about their why, it helps them to make an informed decision.

Before promoting the challenge I did Melaleuca, Ameriplan, Avon, Mary Kay and I looked in to Shaklee, Advocare, Thirty-One, Pink Zebra, Isagenix and Reliv and I researched many others.  I already invested hundreds of dollars in to other companies and there was no way in hell Chad would let me “waste” money on something I was not going to do.

The Decision

My friend Jennifer sent it to me and I was skeptical to take it, but I did and I joined Visalus because of how tasty they were. Yes, they really do taste like cake ;) . I tried it while I was pregnant and I took it while I was breastfeeding. But when I did my true 90 Day Challenge I lost 19lbs in 3 months and I didn’t even do what I was supposed to do the whole time.  So I knew they worked and after going to an event and seeing the people, seeing the founders, it really hit me. I have a product that can change lives — how amazing is that?

The Business

Anyway, I wanted to talk about the business side a little bit and why its so successful.  ViSalus has done nothing but grow. While other companies are excited about 50,000 new members each month, we are boasting over 100,000 new members each month.  For the first quarter of 2012 we have over 500,000 people join the challenge.  Not to mention, those are just for the US and Canada, we haven’t even gotten in to foreign countries yet. Just imagine where we’re going to go once that happens.

Here is why you want to work with us

  • We are recession proof.  People will ALWAYS need/want to lose weight.  The shakes give you energy, give you so much nutrition and guess what? They really do taste like cake :)
  • Because of our social media tools, we are leading competition. Avon is a 12 billion dollar company (not just from the US, that is from worldwide) we are striving for 1 billion in the US and Canada alone. No other direct sales company has done that. Social media has truly brought us out. People think that ViSalus is everywhere because it is all over their Facebook from so many people.  Jump on before we go global and enjoy helping people while earning money
  • In 27 months we have created over 600 six or seven figure income earners.  What other company has done that? Jump on while we have momentum, this is definitely where you should be.
  • The founders are so transparent and heartfelt. I have never seen such genuine founders.  They really do care about people and are clearly showing it. Seeing Ryan Blair on stage talking about his mom and his son still brings tears to my eyes.
  • We have one of the best compensation plans out there, want to know more about it, contact me at (262) 372-2140.
  • You will get great support. My team and I will walk you through hosting your first party and show you how to utilize social media to make a great profit.

Those are just a few reasons I am sooooo grateful for this company. And yes, I needed all the o’s to signify how grateful I am :) .  Not only are we changing lives with weight loss, but we are changing lives with the business side.  I went to the Chicago event last weekend and one of the Ambassadors on stage said that she was pregnant with baby number 4 and they were going in to foreclosure on their house before they found Visalus, now they are making over 10,000/month and helping people do the same, helping charities and even best, their children do not have to go through the financial struggles they were going through a year or two ago.

Are You Ready?

You need to ask yourself:

  1. Do you want to make more money? Or bring a spouse home? Or stop working outside the home to take care of your kids?
  2. Are you willing to do something different to get the results you want?  Are you ready to conquer your fears, are you ready to take control and truly show yourself  what you’re capable of?

Now I want to say, I love all the products above or I wouldn’t have looked at their companies to promote. However, I do believe with the training, young and experienced ownership and how we utilize social media, relationships, what we teach and believe — well that is why we are truly successful.

If you are ready to be better, want more or take control please check out this video, it is a little longer, about 25 minutes and if you are really ready to change your life, message me or call me at (262) 372-2140.

Listen To Your Fear, Stop Trying

Doubting ourselves and fear holds you back from your goals Self-doubt and fear are the voices in our head telling us, “You’ll never succeed, so why try?” and “who do you think you are?” Self-doubt and fear are also what make us listen to those voices and decide to give up before we get started. Even though some people might have self-doubt and fear at some point in their lives, they take action anyway. Others, not so much. They remain stuck, or are confident in only one area of their life, such as work. They are way too afraid to try something new.  Going back to school, starting a business, meeting someone new or making a new friendship is out of the question. If we let that doubt and fear rule our thoughts and our lives, we miss opportunities. We assume that nothing good will happen, so we don’t even take a risk for something super small.  Well what happens then? It leads to us criticizing others and pushing us away from people who could help us lose weight, help people or meet our personal goals we set for ourselves.

The Nasty Cycle of Doubt and Fear

I know what it’s like to live with that doubt and fear. I grew up in a lower income to middle class family in Madison, Wi (Go Badgers!).  A moment that shaped my fear and my brain was when I was in the second grade. I invited a girl named Rachel to my birthday party and she said she wanted to come. Her mother called and told my mom she wasn’t coming.  When I asked her why, she said her mom said she shouldn’t hang out with poor people.  I didn’t know what poor was, but I knew we weren’t rich. We lived in a townhouse and I always had food on the table, but at that moment when she told me that, I think the self-doubt was programmed in my head.  I could never be rich, I could never be “like them.” As I got older, I would see Rachel hanging out with the kids who were from the rich areas and I knew I wasn’t poor, my parents bought a house and we lived fine. I had food and clothes and I got 75% of what I asked for.

I was smart, I had really close friends but somehow  I still had my voices telling me: “You’ll never make it. You’ll never be popular, you’ll never be rich.” I felt I wasn’t as good as other people because I didn’t have the money and nice clothes that some of the “Rachel” girls had. I let that fear and self-talk sabotage me.  Through leaving jobs where I knew I would excel to leaving college early because I told myself I wasn’t good enough, I would never be “that” girl.  Something had to change, could I break my cycle of self-doubt so I could teach my kids how to work through if they ever had something like that happen to them?

Change It

I had to learn to change my attitude about myself.  I had to change my thought process, get through my self-doubt and fear.  To help get over that fear and really own your life, check out my article here. I would read about people who had done just as I needed to do.  It doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time. I started distancing myself from negative people without goals and who only found fault in the world. I knew that if I took certain actions, my mind and emotions would follow. I let go of people who negatively influenced my life. I told myself that I was important, and began to plan and achieve my goals. I learned to have faith in my ability.

I gave up drinking every weekend and began exercising and eating well. I still have drinks every now and again but I do find that alcohol changes me. Also, I started hanging out with positive people. The people who I hung out with were also trying to  change themselves for the better. They weren’t making excuses, they wanted more out of life. You know what? My life began to improve. I didn’t see myself as a victim anymore.  I let go of things my parents said that really hurt me, that Rachel said, and the doubt that I told myself. I stopped comparing myself to other people and began to really let myself open up to new opportunities. Now, I am creating amazing content, coaching and I am doing amazing in my direct sales company. Learning from my life and others, I’m teaching my kids to believe in themselves, to understand their feelings, and not be afraid of their fears.

Here are some of the things I used to help me get through my fears:

  • Make a list of your fears. If you admit they exist, you will find a solution
  • Write down how they affect your life.  What is it holding you back from?
  • Write down the negative self-talk you hear and become more aware of what that talk is saying
  • Start associating with supportive people.   When you stop associating with negative people, your self-talk will change
  • Join a support group of people who have similar issues. They can help you overcome your issues
  • Change each negative message to one that is affirming and constructive.
  • Read books that help you feel better about yourself.  Now, I believe that motivational books are wonderful, but I also think you should take time to reflect
  • Reflect about your life.  Every millionaire, every successfully and wildly happy person reflects about their life and what they do well and can do better
  • Be aware of your past, and be willing to let go of it. Your past is not going to fix you, get over it and move forward (I’m still working on this)
  • List your goals and the actions you need to achieve them.  If you don’t write your goals down, you won’t achieve. It’s as simple as that.
  • Take an action from above each day.  I know this isn’t going to be something that changes over night. I am still working on it, but taking one step at a time will get you closer to that positive thoughts, positive vibes and losing that self-doubt.

This is what helped me to  believe in myself.  If I did not create a better environment for me to flourish in I wouldn’t be so successful with ViSalus, I wouldn’t be able to help people and I wouldn’t be able to show my kids how I love myself.  You can do it too! I am here to help you if you need it!

Stop Beating Yourself Up – You Freaken Rock!

I went for a walk with my family today and for some reason I was thinking about my weigh in on Monday.  I was thinking, I cannot stand to see another standing still week, it would make me feel bad.  I am working so hard to get where I need to and yet its not showing in the numbers.  I thought, what could I do differently? And while I was trying to process those thoughts, my son wanted to show me the spider web on the bridge and I was lost back in my family and looking at things.

Fast forward to Monday,  that dreaded weigh in day.  I can’t even imagine what it was going to say.  Hell I got my period so I figured I was going to gain weight.  I get ready to step on and I think, does that number really matter?  I actually laugh out loud.  I feel helpless and sad that I am so obsessed with the scale, but my OCD makes me get on it anyway. I mean, I can’t not know what I weigh. Right? So to my surprise I dropped over 1lb.  I am officially at 141.8, I was semi excited and then instantly sad because I wasn’t under the 140 mark again.

As I am doing my semi happy losing weight dance, I stop and yes, I truly stop in the middle of getting low. While I was so focused on the weight loss, I completely didn’t even realize for weeks I had been under my pre-pregnancy weight from my first child. With Cameron (my son and first born) I was 153 on the day I found out I was pregnant with him.  I am back to my ending college weight and I didn’t even realize how big of an accomplishment that was because I was too focused on the things I was not accomplishing.  I fit in to pants that I wore in college, I have energy again, I feel happy, I love going out and playing with my kids.  Why am I not celebrating that? Why aren’t you celebrating things you are proud of?

That is a picture of me in pants from college. Those are Silver Jeans that one of my very best college friends, Alicia, let me borrow and I forgot to give them back.  I might still have that muffin top, but hot damn, I haven’t worn them in 7 years. That is amazing progress!

What about you?  Stop beating yourself up.  You will hit each milestone as you continue your journey.  YOU ROCK! Celebrate every milestone you hit.  You and your body deserve that celebration.

Write down 3 things you’re proud of and do a happy dance! I’ll do a happy dance for you too!

My 90 Day Body By Vi Challenge Results w/ Pictures

90 Days have come and gone and I must say, I was disappointed with my numbers in this challenge until I saw my pictures.  I lost 19lbs, gained 5lbs of muscle, lost 3 inches around my waist, 2 inches around my hips and 1 1/2 inches on each arm.

Let me say this, I am nowhere near where I want to be. I have about 20 more pounds to go and a lot of toning to do BUT even with me doing half of what I was supposed to this 90 Day Challenge, I had really great results for my body type.  I have been taking my Body By Vi Shakes and I am very proud of what I ended this 90 Day Challenge.  Now I am going to be honest, I lost that weight with a lot of cheat days but I did work out 2-3x a time (30-60 minutes of cardio). So even with some days of king size crunch bars and a few beers here and there, I am please with these results.

The first one is the very first one from me getting started on the Vi-shakes and the last one is one I took this morning. Here are my pictures:

I feel like a new person and I’m not even where i want to be. I fit in to jeans I haven’t worn since college and I am getting the nutrients I need.  I realized why I wasn’t losing weight counting calories and its because I wasn’t getting the nutrients that my body was aching for.  If you want to know more about what is in a Vi protein shake, check out this video by clicking here.

I also want you to know that this 90 days was more about changing our eating habits too. We have started creating healthier habits for our kids and incorporating the shakes and healthy foods in to their lives too and that was what this 90 Day Challenge is about.  I am just thankful that someone who was as lazy as I was have been able to step up to the plate and show my kids what health is supposed to look like.  We aren’t there yet, but by golly, we are going to get there!

You’re Not Ready, It’s Obvious

I remember having one of my friends ask me about the shakes and how much they cost.  When she said they were too expensive, at that moment I knew she wasn’t ready. When I didn’t want to do something I would make excuses or dodge it.

When you are ready to start that business, lose weight, create that life you will find a way. With Visalus and my weight loss, I signed up last year and it didn’t click for me.  I would talk the talk, but I was not walking the walk and it took me having my AHA moment and writing down my why for me to get motivated.  I was reading a self-help and I remember reading that I was failing because I was not trying.  I could play it safe and do what I was normally doing and living the social norm that was comfortable for us, but I was/am not satisfied with that.   Since I wasn’t satisfied and I wasn’t attempting to create my dreams, I was failing.  How could I teach my kids to go for their dreams? How can I tell them they can be anything they want if I’m not going after what I want?  I would sound like a hypocrite.

Don’t let that voice inside your tell continue to tell that you’re not ready.  Stop being afraid! I mean, seriously, do you know how awesome you are?  I cannot lose weight for you, I cannot create that business that you want or create the life that you want.  No matter how much I want to jump through this computer screen and shake some sense in to you, I cannot. What I can do is tell you that if you want to be ready, you will be ready.  If you believe you can lose weight and need help, I am here.  If you want to create a business for you, that would create residual income and give you the ability to travel, live and create your dreams, I am here too.  I cannot force you to do it, especially if you aren’t ready.

Remember, the only person holding you back is you and your self-talk.  What are you going to tell yourself today?
